Recently Vision Research made a change in the manufacture of the 256 Gig CineMag® II. The change involved building the CineMag II with new chipset. From a form, fit and function viewpoint, this 256 Gig CineMag II is no different than the previous 256 Gig CineMag II. The difference lies in how a camera or CineStation® detects the 256 Gig CineMag II. Since the 256 Gig CineMag II is
interchangeable with other camera’s and CineStations, it is recommended that all cameras and CineStations have the firmware upgraded.

Phantom CineStation® 10Gb Ethernet Installation Recommendations

The 10Gb Ethernet option for the Phantom CineStation® allows for greatly increased Cine playback and save speeds. It is important to note that to maximize your save time, in addition to installing the 10Gb link on the PC end, the entire system specifications must be considered.

Phantom Miro Cameras Used in HYGE Sled Environments

Phantom cameras can be mounted on a HYGE sled to provide image capture and slow-motion playback of dynamic events. Care needs to be taken when mounting a Phantom camera and when providing power to the camera system. Phantom Image-Based Auto-Trigger

The Image-Based Auto-Trigger feature allows selected Phantom camera models, (Miro eX 2 (optional), Miro eX 4, and soon the “newer” v-Series cameras, to trigger themselves when the image changes in a selectable region of the frame. For the v-Series implementation, there will also be a mode which allows this feature to generate a hardware trigger signal for multi-camera installations.

Stereoscopic Imaging with Phantom Digital High-Speed Cameras

Synchronized imaging has been an important part of the Phantom system since the first Phantom camera was developed over 10 years ago. Synchronizing multiple cameras for precise motion analysis is an established scientific technique. Any Phantom camera model can be used with many standard “3D rigs” on the market, and newer models like the Phantom Flex are being developed with stereoscopic 3D imaging in mind. There is also an option for single-sensor stereoscopic 3D imaging with the Phantom P65 camera.

Phantom File Naming Conventions

When naming files saved from the Phantom software, you can use a few special seldom used characters that are legal for filenames. Phantom software recognizes these wildcard characters and substitutes them with different characters in order to better support batch
processing.
